Nikon Coolpix4300 Digital Camera

Stereo Advantage Review Pending

The Nikon Coolpix4300 Digital Camera has received several excellent reviews:

The Coolpix 4300 looks exactly like the Coolpix 885, except in a new color. This small camera is made of a mixture of plastic and metal, and I'd rate it about average in the durability department. The camera is very easy to hold with one hand or two. The official dimensions of the CP4300 are 3.7 x 2.7 x 2.0 inches (W x H x D), and it weighs 225 grams (7.9 ounces) empty. It will fit into most pockets with ease. The Nikon Coolpix 4300 is a worthy follow up to its predecessor, the 885. It offers most of the features found on the more expensive Coolpix 4500, including the use of conversion lenses and the macro ring light! Most importantly, the 4300 has the excellent photo quality that is found on the more expensive Coolpix. The camera can be used in both point-and-shoot and manual modes, with the latter coming in handy for those challenging low light shots (among others). What would I add to the 4300? Maybe support for CompactFlash Type II cards and a microphone. Other than that, I'm very satisfied -- this small Nikon gets my enthusiastic recommendation.    DCResource.com

In our tests the Nikon Coolpix 4300 provided excellent metering and very good automatic white balance overall. Prints made on an Epson 2200 printer with photo glossy paper were very impressive. (11 x 14 output size from JPEG at full resolution). Nicely saturated and sharp. Based on ergonomics and overall image quality, we would highly recommend the Nikon Coolpix 4300. If what you are looking for is a high-resolution unit in a small versatile package, the Coolpix 4300 should definately be high on your list.    DigitalReview.com
